Access Statement


Introduction.
We aim to cater for the needs of most visitors to our 15 bedroomed bed and breakfast establishment. The following statement is a summary of our current provisions. If you have any specific requirements please feel free to call us and we will endeavor to help. 

Pre-Arrival.
Normal check-in time is between 15h00 and 22h00. For times outside this period, prior arrangements need to be made. The Torquay train station is approximately half a mile away and less than 5 minutes by taxi. Lymington Road coach station is approximately one mile away and just 10 minutes by taxi. 

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities.
Our property has an open entrance off a busy road that needs caution when entering and leaving. Do enter our driveway slowly as it is steeply ramped. To the side and rear of the premises we have 14 marked bays that provide ample and secure parking in most cases for all our guests. Additionally, gates at the rear of the car park can be opened to allow guests to enter and exit from there. We are very happy to assist guests with their luggage. Please note, on the pick of season the property's parking space is matter of avialibility and cannot accommodate commercial vehicles, large cars or vans due to space restrictions.

Main Entrance & Reception. 
The Hotel Entrance is up four steps from the driveway outside. The front door is always locked with entry code access provided to guests. The Entrance Foyer houses the reception desk, brochure racks and spotlighted notice boards advertising events and places of interest to visitors. Public Areas – all situated on ground floor.
The Entrance Foyer leads to the TV and Sun Lounges, the Bar and the Dining Room. 
The TV Lounge seats up to a dozen people and has provision for card/games tables.

The Sun Lounge opens out onto the Patio, where tables, chairs and parasols are set up for sun seekers. The Bar has bench and low stool seating for up to 20 people. A selection of spirits, wines, bottled and canned beers and lagers, together with cold drinks are served here and also through to the Lounges and Patio. The 30 cover Dining Room has a waitress service to tables that are independent of each other but easily set up to accommodate family numbers as required. 

There are also two Public WCs and a Bathroom on the ground floor. 

Bedrooms.
All our bedrooms have en-suite facilities, remote-controlled color televisions, hospitality trays and hairdryers available. 
The Entrance Foyer leads to our Ground Floor Bedrooms (Nos. 1,2,3 and 4) which all have en-suite shower rooms. 
A stairway leads from the ground floor to the remainder of Bedrooms situated on mezzanine and upper floor levels, 20 steps in total. All these bedrooms have en-suite shower facilities. Bedding consists of sheets and duvet with spare blankets for additional warmth provided in every wardrobe. Pillows are synthetically filled. 
Hotel notices including fire emergency procedures are displayed on the wall of all bedroom. 
Additional upright chairs are available for placing in bedrooms on demand.
