ABOUT TORQUAY
Torquay – The Jewel of the English Riviera – has a lively harbour and marina, busy shopping centre, pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes and is surrounded by 22 miles of beautiful beaches.
The Lindum Lodge is a family-run hotel with an emphasis on comfort and service. It is also one of the few central Torquay hotels to have ample on-site car parking.
Torbay is one of the premier holiday resorts in UK and has the highest number of Blue Flag beaches in England.
Digging and paddling or swimming from the safe and gently sloping beach of Torre Abbey Sands is what beach holidays are all about. Regular ferry services cross the Bay from the Marina and are a wonderful and inexpensive way of getting to see the adjacent towns of Paignton and Brixham, as well as the picturesque port of Dartmouth.

Princess Theatre is just a short walk away from us. It overlooks the Marina and Princess Pier, from where you can take a pleasant stroll out to the mouth of the harbour and enjoy the wonderful views of the harbour and its varied craft.
Torre Abbey, founded in 1196, is very close by and today houses an art collection and an Agatha Christie memorial room. Bowls, tennis and pitch & putt golf are facilities open to the public in the pleasant gardens of the Abbey.
For indoor fun the
Riviera Centre is close by and houses the Waves Leisure Pool, complete with flume ride and wave machine.
A longer walk away from the Lindum brings you to
Cockington Country Park, the famous thatched village with its lovely walks through woodlands and ornamental gardens to its interesting Craft Centre.
